Femino Football

At WVFA we base our game play methods on the use of small sided games that we call Funino Football. ‘Funino’ literally means ‘Fun’ and  ‘Children’ and encourages the players to develop a love for the game whilst also stimulating game intelligence, perception, imagination and creativity.

Involving young players in small sided, 3 vs 3 games means they have more touches on the ball and also allows better all-round development as there are no fixed positions. Each player has to defend and attack. There is lots of goalmouth action. All 3 players, including the weaker ones, play a critical role in this game and are involved mentally and  physically throughout the game. Nobody can hide, this allows for everyone to develop at their own pace.
